Delta Kappa Delta Sorority, Incorporated, was founded at Texas A&M University on October 1st, 1999. We strive to spread the awareness of and prevent child abuse throughout the community while educating ourselves and others about the Indian sub-continental culture.

On November 9th of 2017, we lost one of our newest sisters to her battle with cancer. Ashwini Vatsamanu, Sister Sidereal, was a Junior at Temple University and is a part of the Rho Class of Delta Chapter. She was a sweetheart and our ray of sunshine. She never failed to make us laugh and never failed to laugh with us. She had a bubbly personality and was always down to lend a helping hand. We admired her strength, her genuine soul, and how she always made a point to do things the right way. Ashwini always had so much strength, even in her last few weeks she was committing time to helping others. She truly was indomitable in every way and we’ll never know someone like her. It's been hard trying to cope with the fact that she's passed. Although we as a sisterhood wish that we had more time and more pictures and more everything together, we are so grateful for the time we did have. Ashwini, we love you and hope to see you again someday but for now you will always be our shining star in the sky.
